The Gulf of Mexico Decommissioning & Abandonment conference will be held this year at the Norris Conference Centers - Houston/CityCentre in Houston, TX. Attendees and presenters will discuss innovative operator best practice, regulatory insights, technology, and other topics. The conference is focused on the Gulf of Mexico / Gulf of America and technical obstacles to decommissioning and abandonment.
Representatives from regulatory agencies (state agencies) and industry will be on-hand to give presentations on several topics, including:
- Environmental factors within decommissioning / recycling: "reefing" processes in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi
- Platform re-use and removal: including Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) and "reefing"
